The successor organization to the Rhode Island Black Lawyers Association, TMLS was reorganized in 2003. advance the active participation of lawyers, law professors, judges and law students of color, and the science of jurisprudence, and to uphold the honor of the legal profession, promote social intercourse among members of the Rhode Island and Federal bars, and protect the civil and political rights of all citizens of the State of Rhode Island.
