Diversity Dinner

One of the premier bar events of the year since its inception in 2004, TMLS has been honored to collaborate with the Roger Williams University School of law and other sister organizations to host and support the Annual Diversity Symposium Dinner.  The annual event brings together a who’s who of legal and political leaders in the community, members of the judiciary, attorneys, legal faculty and students interested in the practice and function of the law, ranging from high school through recent law school graduates.  Aside from networking and dinner, the traditional agenda provides a group discussion format for issues of interest to populations traditionally underrepresented in the justice system and legal profession.

Mentor Program

TMLS is a perennial participant in the law student mentorship program organized by the Roger Williams University School of Law. While the program specifics change periodically according to need and interest, the typical format includes one or more “meet-and-greet”-type social events throughout the year, to which all mentors and mentees (including but not limited to TMLS members) are invited to casually network, as well as more structured, one-on-one opportunities for mentors and mentees to interact.

TMLS also offers informal mentor/mentee networking and other opportunities by and among practicing attorneys in Rhode Island and southeastern New England, across a wide array of practice areas and attorney interests.
